John D. Mitchell, M.D.
Dr. Mitchell is a highly skilled and experienced, board certified Ophthalmologist. He has performed thousands of microsurgical vision correction procedures, and routinely teaches and supervises physicians in training. Dr. Mitchell has written medical chapters in major texts, given lectures throughout the country, and has been recognized by his peers for his surgical expertise. Dr. Mitchell has served on the Board of Directors for the Washington National Eye Center, and is a Senior Attending Surgeon and Program Director Emeritus at the Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Mitchell has a special interest in refractive surgical procedures including LASIK, refractive lens exchange (RLE), implantable contact lens (ICL) and cataract surgery. Dr. Mitchell is a Leading STAAR Visian ICL Specialist Surgeon.
